Chandigarh: October 31, 2025: The Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment, today released the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) (Base: 2016=100) for the month of September, 2025. This index is compiled monthly based on retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres across the country.
General Index Movement
The All-India CPI-IW for September, 2025 increased by 0.2 point to stand at 147.3 (one hundred forty-Seven point Three) from 147.1 in August, 2025
Year-on-Year Inflation
The Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) inflation for the month of September, 2025 showed a notable deceleration, standing at 2.79%. This is significantly lower compared to the 4.22% recorded in the corresponding month of September, 2024.
